Take an unforgettable one day excursion to the Corinth Canal, Ancient Corinth, Mycenae , Epidaurus and Nafplion, one of the most beautiful and picturesque towns in Greece! Our professional English speaking driver will collect you from your hotel early in the morning (around 07:30-09:00). We make a short stop at the Corinth Canal (aprox 6km long) that links the Ionian to the Aegean Sea and the Peloponnese to mainland Greece. We will stop on the old bridge and admire the vertical sides of the Isthmus, this pioneering landscaping masterpiece opened between 1882-1893.
Afterwards, we will reach Nemea. We make a short stop at a selected winery where you will be introduced to the wine making process and the indigenous grape variety Agiorgitiko.
We depart for the site of ancient Epidaurus, another UNESCO World Heritage site. Epidaurus is believed as the birth place of Asclepius the healer, Apollo’s son. In Ancient Greece Epidaurus City was of strategic importance, as well as the Asclepion, the biggest healing center in the classical world
After a 25 minutes’ drive we arrive at the UNESCO heritage site of Mycenae, an ancient city in Argolis, referenced in the Homeric poems, which played a key role in the Trojan War. Our journey continues to the picturesque town of Nafplion, the former capital of Greece and a natural peninsula crowned by two fortresses Akronafplia and Palamidi. There is plenty time to walk by yourself, in order to discover the beautiful picturesque alleys , the market and taste the local favorite flavors of Nafplio cuisine. Our tour ends, and we drive back to Athens and your hotel.
